The CMS experiment announces several new results for the Lepton-Photon 2025 conference.

A major highlight is the high-precision measurement of the integrated luminosity. With an uncertainty of 0.73%, this is the most precise luminosity measurement at a bunched-beam hadron collider. The measurement implements several years of developments in van-der-Meer scan and analysis methodology, and benefits from the combination of several independent luminosity detectors [LUM-20-001].

Several of the newly presented results focus on the search for new (heavy or light) scalar or pseudoscalar particles. A search for a massive resonance X decaying into a pair of 125 GeV Higgs bosons, X → HH, is presented. The decay mode bbττ is explored in which one Higgs boson decays into a pair of b-quarks, bb, and one decays into a pair of τ-leptons. This channel combines large branching ratios (bb) with manageable backgrounds (ττ). The most stringent limits to date are set in the X mass range between 1.4 and 4.5 TeV [B2G-24-014].

A first search for a scalar leptoquark (LQ) is performed in muon-quark collisions, where a single leptoquark could be created in the s-channel. The signal would appear as a bump in the muon-jet invariant mass spectrum. The presence of LQ signals is tested for masses between 1.5 and 5 TeV, and upper limits on muon-quark couplings are set [EXO-24-005].

Here is an evolving list of all our results presented at the conference.
